Regret-Free Living

It has been said time and time again that we are where we are because of the decisions we have made. Every single part of our lives requires that we make decisions, whether it is subconscious, or we are fully aware of it, we make decisions about every part of our lives. Note this, every decision that we make is first decided in our subconscious.

Have you ever been to a place that you wish you would have decided otherwise on? You and I owe it to ourselves to live the best lives we desire, however way we both define the best life. Up to this day, our decisions have impacted our lives. I have learnt that we are more at peace when we are conscious of the decisions that we make, being in control of our decisions gives the much-needed power and grace to live.

We are to live a life that has very little to no regret at all. We only have this life to live, we must make the best of it. This is not a rehearsal of life we are yet to live, this is it and we must be in a place that has no regret. My brother would often say, spend every minute of your life wisely because you will not live that long to correct the mistakes you would have made.

Start with the end in mind – Stephen H. Covey

When we start with the end in mind, we will be able to go through a process thought elimination and we will be able to decide on what is best for ourselves based on the bigger we have painted in our minds. Think of the things that you want to achieve and consider the decisions you need to make to that a reality, and also consider the decisions that will derail you should you make them. Going through a process of thought elimination before making a decision will help to live a life of no regret as we will be aware of which decisions will get us ahead even before making the decision.

What decision should we make to get ahead and not only get ahead, decisions that will leave us not regretting the lives we live? We are more than capable of living lives that are regret-free, only we need to be aware of the decisions we make daily.

Zero regret living – our decisions should lead us to a life of no regret. looking back and regretting none of it. make decisions that will enable you to live a life of regret.
