Growing up and friendships – One thing I have grown to realize in life is that the older you grow the more your priorities change. When I was younger, I had many friends and my priorities were all over the place. Life was all about parties, brands, boyfriends and fun, and now that I have grown, I have fewer friends and life is about family, business, saving and spending wisely.
I met this beautiful friend of mine, Maxine, at work. We used to work together and formed such an amazing friendship. I learn so much from each of my girls and what she has taught me is the value of friendship. She taught me the importance of praying for your friends which to date I do every morning. She taught me it’s okay to let go of anything that costs you your peace.
The older you grow the more you want peace more than attention. The more you want genuine friendships than fake people around you. The more you want to create lifetime memories with people you know understand loyalty and the meaning thereof. Growing up is not speaking to your friends for days because of adulting but when you hook up again it’s like you were never apart. That’s when you know it’s real.
When we learn to prioritize, what is important in our lives, we tend to achieve more because we will give attention to what matters. In the next couple of blog posts, we will be unpacking how to keep our priorities and goals in check because we aim to help you achieve your goals.
Knowing where we are going helps us know what to prioritize and what to focus on.
Do you know what is important to you?
