Pressure series: Let me decide on when I want to have kids.

When you grow up in most black community and you are over the age of 30 and don’t have a child yet, you might want to read this article and please share your thoughts. When you reach your Teen years adults will warn you with so many dangers of having children. In your twenties, you are told to wait for marriage before you think of having children. Once you reach your thirties no one even cares they just want you to have children? How funny is that😂?

What I want to discuss today is the pressures of having children when you aren’t ready no matter the age. Why do people feel the need to pressurize anyone on parenthood when you will be raising alone the child without their help? This always baffles me. I want to know what pressures you often feel from adults. It could be your parents, friends or even extended family.

What are the challenges you have had to go through with your child without support from people who pressurized you from having the child?
Children are always a blessing and my feelings towards this topic are to let people do things when they are ready. Let people decide when they feel ready and respect their decision. On this day I was bonding with my beautiful Niece and I had the pleasures of dressing her too😊.

We at times find ourselves in places and conditions that we never anticipated because we allowed pressure from other people to cloud our judgments. How many of us would truly say they are living the lives they chose or themselves? Let’s analyze our lives and consider if we chose our lives or did we allow pressure to decide for us.
