I found myself stuck and not knowing what to write about, and even as I started typing I still had no idea what the angle of my article would be. All I wanted to achieve was an article that will help other people find their way in this life that we live daily. I wanted to help somebody find their voice. You know there are times in our lives when we find ourselves stuck and not know where and who to turn to.
All I needed was to start.
Indeed, I needed to just start with the first line and the rest would come. Think of the time when you needed to get to a certain place at a specific time and you had no idea where the place was at and you eventually got to where you were going. Even when your phone battery died on you, you kept going until you found your destination. The important thing that we need to note here is that you had a destination in mind and your purpose for the trip was clear.
Having a clear-cut purpose and destination of where we are headed helps us navigate through the challenges of getting where we need to be. Just like when your support system fails as your phone battery once did, you always find ways to get there. Do you have a fully painted picture in your head of where you are headed? Consider the times you got lost and you had no idea of what the place you were headed looked like. How frustrated were you then? If at all you were frustrated by the series of events.
What were the chances of knowing for sure that your destination was where you were headed? We must know what our destination looks like. Knowing that eliminates any possibility of doubt when we arrive at our destination.
Do you know where you are headed? What does your destination look like? Maybe just like me at the beginning of this article, you do not know where to start, just start anyway? Think of where you would be had you started when you should have started? What do you believe about your destination?
Whatever you want to achieve, all you need to do is start even when you don’t have the skill.
