We are almost at the end of the first term and maybe, just like a lot of people, had goals for the new year set out, or maybe you had new year resolutions. Well, still appreciate those who do not believe in having either. How far are you with your new year plans?

Remember how excited you were when the new year started, just like your first day at your new job, new school, new position and how you had a plan to make a difference, you were most probably always dressed up for it. You could not stop talking about it. You were eager to learn new things. Are you still as excited about it now that we are almost at the end of the new term? Remember the new pair of shoes you could not wait to wear, are you still excited about it?

Are we still as excited about our plans and goals as we did when we were setting us to start our journey? What do we do when we are not applauded for wanting to be better people? Sometimes we may get discouraged from pursuing our goals simply because we are not applauded, however that should not be the reason we cannot go on, though being applauded does encourage us to do better. How have you continued to pursue your goals?

We are not going to achieve all that we ought to achieve if we fail to stay on course. In a perfect world, our plans will work out as we have imagined and planned them. What should we then do when they do not? Where do we find the strength to continue when all odds are against us? Revisiting the reasons why we started should be able to help us stay on course. Why do we do what we do?

What amount of pressure have you and I put on ourselves to stay on course in achieving our goals? Do you usually quit on yourself on the basis that the road to your success is not aligned with your movements? Have you ever thought of how we need to get ourselves aligned?
Your life and goals matter.

Thank you for this indeed I’ve had time to reflect on my goals and plans for the year something I wouldn’t have normally done. Fear crips in when there’s failure on some of our plans but remembering the end goal for what we do what we do keeps us on track. With the support from friends and loved us, it gets better however not the end when they’re not there for us.

Thank you for the wonderful read! Truly inspiring.

Tumi, what an interesting topic of discussion!

From my end, your latest blog is a reminder to go back to the drawing board and refocusing on what milestones one needs to archive in this very fast paced jungle. It’s never too late to reset/fight for your greatest year yet.

Thank you Bro, I’ve refocused and ready to kill it!
