Growing old and the value of friendships

The older you grow the more you realize the value of friendships. The fascinating part about growing up is that you get to decide who gets to be in your life and who does not. Who makes you feel loved, who appreciates you, who motivates you, who wants the best for you, who claps when you win and those who value you for who you are. Those are people you need to keep in your life. People who protect your name in your absence, that’s love and loyalty. 

I have been so lucky in my life to have been blessed with great friends. We had been planning to meet for some time however, you know with adulthood comes a lot of responsibilities, and it gets so challenging to find a weekend off. On this particular day, we finally did meet, and there’s nothing more I love than dressing up for any outing for that matter. What do you look forward to when meeting with your favourite people? 

Our day was filled with so much laughter. Whenever we are together there’s lots of laughter and in most cases tears of joy. It’s important to have people whom you can connect with knowing that you can be yourself around them and not be judged. I wish you all genuine friendships, as people like that can never be replaced.

I can tell you this much, though we did not communicate this to each other, we all were looking forward to dressing up for this lunch date. What are the things that you always look forward to in your own life whenever you prepare for an opportunity or whether you are creating that opportunity for yourself?
