I read an interesting question on social media about a week ago, and it read “what would you be or be doing had you followed your childhood dream? And I thought it was a way to remind us of the things and dreams that we had maybe forsaken. Yet in the same breath, it was also a way for us to think and consider if we know exactly what we should be. Maybe as we grew older, we got exposed to many other things that life had to offer. I believe there many life lessons that we can take with us even as adults. Do you have a clear direction of where you are headed?
Blurred lines
It was at seeing a beautiful Zabo-PhotoLab’s photograph work of a pathway between the trees (see featured image) that the same question that I saw on social media resonated with me. It got me thinking about the number of things that we either engage in or have the desire to engage in had we dared to do so. How clear is the vision of the things that we want to achieve? We need to understand that our minds can create a conducive environment for the things we want to achieve. The photograph shows a very peaceful state of being and the trees enhance the pathway so beautifully that you cannot help but admire and see the pathway, even with the fallen leaves from the trees. How significant were the leaves that fall from trees to the pathway? Could the leaves had the ability to blur the pathway?
You should decide on the measure you should use.
We all have things we want to achieve, and whatever measure we each use on the things we want to achieve; we need to be content with it. No one should decide what is big or small for us, we need to measure for ourselves. We need to stretch our minds, and this means we need to constantly entertain our vision enhancers. How many of us have cried foul at life because we have not achieved the things we want to achieve and maybe at the time which we have set for ourselves? How clear is your vision for the things you want to achieve? Life will always have challenges, and the clarity for our visions should not be blurred by the challenges that life throws at us. Have life’s challenges blurred your vision and dimmed the brightness of your light?
True to life.
Our trueness and commitment towards making life work should not be changed based on;
- The time it takes to achieve the goals
- The challenges life throws at us
- The different voices that we permit to speak to us
- The long-awaited support from family and friends that never came
- Our impatience
Reflections
How true and committed are you to your vision? How clear is the pathway of your vision? Have you created a conducive environment for your vision and goals to come to life? As the pathway has leaves from the trees in it, you can still see the pathway clearly. Despite life’s challenges, can you still see your pathway clearly? We should not permit life’s challenges to blur our way to greatness. Do you have a clear direction of where you are headed?
