Towards the end of the year 2018, a very great friend of mine invited me to Cape Town. I love Cape Town or should I say I love any place that has a beach 🏖. I got so excited and started shopping, and getting outfits ready for our trip. I remember telling my Grandmother about this trip and she was even more excited than I was, as I did mention before my grandmother wasn’t like any typical grandmother she loved all the beautiful things life had to offer. Simply put, she was a lover of life.Â
Long story short day before flying to Cape Town my Grandmother passed away meaning the trip ended up not happening for me. My life got turned upside down literally, as my grandmother was my best friend (story for another day). This gets to show that you can make plans all you want but God already knows how those plans will pen out as Proverbs 19:21 says “many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails”.Â
Sometimes we struggle and cry thinking nothing is working out for us without realising God (or any higher power you believe in) is preparing you for even bigger things, but you have to put in the work. Long story short, it doesn’t matter how much your plans are turned upside down keep planning as God never disappoints.
I was filled with grief, my best friend was gone. It was when I started believing that all things work together for my good, that I started letting go of the grief. Holding on to the grief for too long was only hurting me, causing me more harm than good. I realised that my granny being a person that was a lover of life, she could have wanted me to live a life of liberty, growth, love, and joy, so I started to gradually release and let go of the grief.
Sometimes the things (death, loss of an opportunity, broken relationships, etc.) we are holding on to cause us so much anxiety and grief. Yeah, we do have reasons for holding on, we just need to ask ourselves this important question “is holding on to this helping me to be a person or not?”.Â
What are you and I holding on to that is causing us more harm than good?

This is a dress I got from Mr. Price for a girls trip which I never got to be part of. Last week I wore it on another trip with my girls and had a time of my life…

JKR: From the beginning of the Philosopher’s Stone prejudice is a very strong theme – and I think it’s plausible that Harry enters the world – that’s how I wanted it to be – he was quite wide-eyed about it, everything will be wonderful in this world, this is the place where those sort of injustices didn’t happen and then he finds out that sure enough it happens. And it’s a shock to him like to everyone else and he finds out that he’s a half person within the confines of the world. To a wizard like Lucius Malfoy, Harry will never be a true wizard because his mother was of muggle parentage.

I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems? A number of my blog audience have complained about my website not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any ideas to help fix this problem?

Book four explores a lot of themes, some we’ve seen before in Chambers of Secrets, about prejudice. Is that something you’ve been wanting to explore?
