We all have favourite people

So I went on a lunch date with one of my favourite persons, a dear friend that I have come to love and appreciate over the year since I met her 8 years ago. We have friends whom we have turned into family, some are even closer to us than our very own siblings.

This was for me an opportunity to try out my purple dress I have had for quite a number of years now, and it has always been a real struggle on which shoes to pair my dress with (girl problems), until my friend gifted me with these gold snake skin sandals. I was ecstatic and I could not wait to try them on with the purple dress that has been waiting to be worn for months now, and I mean what’s cuter than accessorising my look with a classic denim jacket.

How easy do you find a suitable outfit for any occasion or are you a grab-and-put-on-your-clothes-and-go person?

Has fashion caused us to be so conscious of how we look and feel about ourselves that we miss the purpose of what we attend functions or lunch dates for. It’s so easy to be absent  minded in the present simply because we are too conscious of how we look and we get even more worried when we are not complemented on how we look, especially when we know we made an effort on looking dazzling for the occasion.

We should never at any point miss the opportune to be present and enjoy every second of life and what life has to offer.
