One thing I always tell my clients is “Looking good doesn’t have to be expensive”. I think that’s the biggest misconception people generally have, that in order to look good you must be wearing only expensive clothing which is so untrue I’m almost certain that you have realized that by going through my blog posts. How I learnt this was because like I mentioned before that my Mom was unemployment most of my High School life, so I had to make it work with little money that I would receive from her. I realized that stores like Edgars and Mr Price have affordable clothing. I used to love the Free label brand by Edgars it had the most affordable jeans. You need to understand your affordability and never ever drown in debt simply because you shopped beyond your means. Most of us end up with so many accounts that when we receive our paycheques, we don’t even enjoy it as we owe so many stores. We need to learn to shop within our means and trust me when I say there are many affordable stores. On this day I had a lunch date with a wonderful friend/business associate.
It was so hot I knew I wanted to wear a dress and show some legs due to the heat. I ended up wearing this dress which I got at Mr Price for only R129. I paired it with red sandals which I bought at Legit store for R350. All in all, my outfit cost me R479. Confirming what I’ve been saying😊
What would it take for us to start small with anything that we want to achieve? Like with my outfit, aiming to get maximum results for less. By no means am I suggesting that you should not purchase expensive brands, I am simply cautioning you from spending money that you do not have. I also believe that even our dreams are not impossible to achieve, all we need to learn is overcome the small obstacles. Winning and overcoming small obstacles leads us to great victory, thus starting small to achieve great results.
Think of all you want to achieve and consider where you currently at this very moment, what are the small steps you will need to take to achieve maximum results. Remember, small winnings lead to great victory.
