How random are the random things we do?

And it happened that my friends and I had one of those random meet ups, because we do not see each other regularly. It was again on a Friday, late afternoon, straight after work when we called each other for a meet up and everyone agreed to meet on one condition, and that was “We are not going on any impromptu road trips to anywhere” it would just be a meet up and return to our respected humble abodes. Yes, yes and yes we did meet, we each brought a friend as a measure of security not to even entertain the thought of going anywhere thereafter other than our humble abodes, and the exciting thing about this meet up was that we had each figured our that we had buy one get one free option/special that our bank accounts gave us (money saver).
It is always good to meet up with friends and update each other on how life is, career and future goals and plans. So we were at it, a very chilled Friday evening of laughter and a good time, and we also laughed at the fact that we each brought a friend as a measure of security for not attempting to go on any impromptu road trip, and that is the topic we should not have brought up because it sent us home packing as we had agreed to meet in an hour to two hours because accommodation was booked on the spot. Its crazy how a group of friends can agree on something and 2 hours later turnaround and opt to travel. Some say everything happens for a reason, I simply believe that everything happens because of the choices we make daily. Daily choices have led us to where we are.

So off we went to a different province for the weekend. As usual, it was a weekend of laughter, singing, and more laughter, needless to say that we also had a lot of deep meaningful conversations (DMCs). This particular weekend was a weekend of expressing liberty, however way each of us describe liberty as. This weekend spoke of liberty to choose, liberty to be, liberty to reflect, liberty to dream again, to see life as a huge possibility and just as important liberty to choose.

I wondered how we, (even after agreeing on not going anywhere) found ourselves on our way to Legend Golf & Safari Resort. Upon our arrival I learnt that we each have inner strength and it is up to each of us to find what our strengths are. We did absolutely nothing on this trip and the only major thing we did was take photos and have DMCs. I happened to rediscover the things that I love and enjoy engaging in. How often do make the time to reflect on what our lives look like, not only look at what we have achieved but our character. How have life experiences left us? Have we become pleasant people to the world and most importantly to ourselves?
